Rock Chalk Jayhawk! KU Champs!

CollinschampAs most of you already know who live in the States...my alma mater won the NCAA National Basketball championship on Monday night. Thanks to cbssportsline.com I was able to watch all of KU's tournament games for free, live, over the internet. In fact, on Saturday night/Sunday morning I stayed up until 5.30am watching both semifinal games. The sweetest of course was KU shellacking North Carolina. Then on Monday night/Tuesday morning, I woke up at 4am and tuned in for the 2nd half of the title game. Sweet indeed! So here is a blog dedicated to my alma mater. As Jim Nantz, CBS commentator, said at the end of the game: "Rock Chalk for the Ages!" -MM

Well, as a lifelong Kansas State Wildcat and avid anti-jayhawk fan I wasn't quite as delighted as you, Michael. I did think of you after the game and wondered if you'd gotten to see it. And I acknowledged once again that good people even come out of that school in Lawrence. If I ever get over the jayhawks' last championship (1988) then I will try to celebrate this one with you.

Blessings!

Not only are we fellow GEMers, but we're Jayhawks, too! Well, technically just me, but Matt is a Jayhawk by marriage. We'll have to wave the wheat at annual conference! Glad you could see the games online, too. It gives us hope for next year. Take care love your blog!
