Fun with friends

Today it is a balmy 53 degrees F! After months of gray days, the sun is shining again and it feels as if Spring is finally on its way. Crocuses are popping up everywhere. We made it through our first winter here and have acutely, almost achingly, felt the Swedes' longing for days full of the sun! And now, it's finally here again. Not only that, it seems to be returning as swiftly as it left. The sunrise now is full by 5:30 AM and it isn't fully dark until after 8:00 PM. But, before it seems altogether inappropriate, I thought I would post a photo of the girls' day of fun with friends just last week.

During Easter break, we had a nice snowfall (hopefully our last!) and Abigail and Caroline invited some friends from school (a girl from China and another from Bulgaria) to come over for a day of play in the snow. Here's the snow family they created together.

You did a great job with those snowmen, girls! Looks great to see you having fun with friends again as I know you've missed that since going to Sweden! Glad you were able to have a day of just "hanging out with the girls"! Always good to see your smiling faces! My how you've grown! Love much, Poppy and MeMe
